Take a moment out of your busy schedule and ask yourself; how many have their hands out for your hard earned money? If you are really brave, take the time to write or type a list of people of whom you spend money on a re-occurring basis. Look at everyone from family member to friend to co-workers, etc. Now tally up what you believe represent the total spent on everyone you interact with within your circles.

Many of us move day-to-day not given much thought to where our money is going but yet face the stressors of wanting more cash. I have found through pausing every now and then and making a mental note, writing things down or even using other means to reflect on how I spend my money is an eye-opening event.

I found that by proactively considering the imaginary hands that are open waiting for my money; I have the power to avoid the impulse to spend too quickly. There are needs and wants within my life just as others. If you have a desire to improve your life; there are no doubts, it will cost you something. Walk to a mirror or take a selfie, ask yourself; when was the last time you treated you or someone else. Take a moment and think about making a difference in your life or another’s; watch how rewarding this can be. When the clock ticks past another day we cannot go back to rewrite the memory; make it a great day each step of the way. You have the power to reduce the number of hands that receive your hard earned money. You have the power to decide who has earned the privilege of getting your money. You have the power to treat yourself, improve your savings, build a memorable moment for someone special.

Things cost money one way or another; we will spend. Rewrite the impulse spending script with goals and objectives for a better you. Discover the power of change for the better. When you begin to redirect which hands get the money and those that will not; your quality of life will take a fresh and new direction. How many hands are open? Remember you do not have to place anything in these open hands or at the very least, you can reduce the amount given going forward.
